Kevin Alewine and Peggy and Ken Fleming have played together for nearly two decades as a trio beginning with Waifs & Strays and presently under the name JIGSAW. Their spirited performance of traditional Irish music has always been their mainstay and, the three are considered among the best traditional players in the region.

Instrumentally, JIGSAW is talent rich, blending a large variety of instruments and vocal harmonies. Kevin plays flute, guitar, mandolin, tenor banjo, whistle and sings. Peggy plays fiddle and remains the lead vocalist of the group while husband Ken plays button accordion, Anglo concertina, tenor banjo, guitar, mandolin, whistle and also sings. As the name implies, JIGSAW interlocks multiple talents to form one of Texas’ finest ensembles playing traditional Irish music.

Whether the venue is a concert, pub, festival, wedding or special event, JIGSAW is an audience pleaser.

Peggy Fleming – Peggy has played traditional music for most of her life.  In her earlier years, she played Old Timey American music and later became more focused on Irish music, both as a singer and fiddler.  She has played previously with the New Dallas String Band, Tinker’s Dam, Waifs & Strays and Loose Change and is also a current member of the Lone Star Ceili Band and Trinity Hall Session Players.

Ken Fleming – Ken has played traditional Irish music for 30 years on a number of instruments including guitar, tenor banjo, mandolin, tinwhistle, button accordion and Anglo concertina.  Playing Irish music is a passion he shares with his wife Peggy and, in 1982, they founded the Southwest Celtic Music Association and, in 1983, the North Texas Irish Festival, further promoting the music and dance of Ireland in Texas.  He is currently president/founder of the Traditional Irish Music Education Society (TIMES) and director/founder of the O'Flaherty Irish Music Retreat.  He was also a member of Tinker’s Dam, Waifs & Strays and Loose Change and is also a current member of the Lone Star Ceili Band and Trinity Hall Session Players.

Kevin Alewine – For more than two decades, Kevin has played with traditional American or Irish ensembles performing on guitar, mandolin, flute, tinwhistle and banjo.  He has been active in leadership with the Southwest Celtic Music Association and has directed the North Texas Irish Festival.  He has played with Sweet Song String Band, Waifs & Strays and Loose Change and is also a current member of the Lone Star Ceili Band and Trinity Hall Session Players.
